Blogging what is lost
I've heard this works, and I'm pretty much at my wit's end, so I'll give anything a shot:
Green North Face toque! Where ARE YOU!!!!
While I'm at it,
PEACE OF MIND! DESIRE TO WRITE PAPERS! ABILITY TO SLEEP! WHERE ARE YOU!!!
Come out, come out, wherever you are! Olly Olly oxen free! etc.
blech.

I am in a...
Funk. Definitely in a funk. I'm tired, irritable, and totally not interested in doing the things that I ought to be doing. Such as reading for my classes tomorrow. Awesome classes, fairly easy material, not too much reading to actually DO, but due to The Funk, nothing is getting done. Booo.
This semester I'm hoping to be more aware of how my funks get started, and what sort of funk exit strategies actually work. If anyone notices any patterns, please feel free to give me the heads up; I tend to be oblivious most of the time.

First Paper of the Semester
So I'm in the library, 'searching' for resources for this paper I'm writing, and I just found a bunch of books I think might be helpul. I'm so stoked.
But I'm also a bit nervous. Well, a lot nervous. I've never written a paper for a 300 level History class, and I'm getting really good at feeling stupid. 70% of the time I think I'm the dumbest person in the room. Argh...
Oh well, here goes nothing...

Back in the Game!
School has started! I went to school today for a full 30 minutes. Rock on! Today, being day 1 of the semester, it is understood that class time is used for introductory purposes only. However, one of my prof's decided that he would just not show up (AT ALL!!!), thus leaving the introduction until next week. Usually, I would be okay with this. I don't mind when prof's cancel classes. HOWEVER, this a 400 level class, I am one of the TWO people registered in this course (The other being a grad student), and I even emailed him to see what we would be reading (he has yet to assign a textbook for this class!!) and where we would be meeting (there is no classroom listed for this class). So, I show up, early (cuz I'm obsessive) and he's not in his office. I wait around, only to find out that he's not just not in his office, but he's not even on campus, and won't be until MONDAY! What's going ON???? I'm a little bit upset, not because "I'm paying for this class and I want to get my money's worth" but because I was/am excited about this class, and I can't wait another whole week for it to start!!! I want to start NOW!!! This is the class that I have been looking forward to for over a month!!! I just want to LEARN!!! (I know, I am a geek.) Plus, I want to know what books we'll be reading so I can go get them and start reading!!! Now I'm stuck at the University for an unnecessary extra 3 hours. (grumble grumble grumble...)
